Relief!!! and relieved!!!!!

Butch says that I changed colors from red to white, as I spoke to the nurse on the phone about removing Aaron's packing. I did it...did you hear the holler? What is bad is that you know you have another after you pull out the first one. Well anyway its done and I am glad!

Aaron is feeling so much better. He has had a cup of strawberry jello and some ginger ale and is on the couch watching tv. Movies are funnier than normal when you have had some medication. I just hope that the worst has passed...I don't want to do this again...ever.

This is a picture of Aaron smiling!

The Nose knows

Ha! I could not resist using that phrase. It was a long night. The nausea and all that goes with that ended around 3. I adore the sound of Aaron's loud snores...that meant he was sleeping soundly. I camped on the floor in his room so that I could be close. He is now only taking one pain pill every 4 hours and I think that his stomach will be ready for some jello or something similar this afternoon, but not till after the dreaded hour of 3.

His nose is rather large today, still no black eyes! He had a fever for quite some time last night. He would wake up and be soaking wet. I hope that has passed also. I will keep you posted. Maybe he will allow a snapshot or two today.

8.7.6. A good day to fix your nose

If you are weak in the stomach don't read on till second paragraph

Today Aaron had his nose put back together. The left nasal bone is no longer laying under the right and he has a left nasal passage again. His surgery lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It took him quite awhile to wake up and when he did he was in a great deal of pain. You know you are still the momma when they squeeze your hand...hard...and look for it when you let go. His nose is packed for now. I get the honor of removing the packing tomorrow around 3, so pray for both Aaron and I around that time.

The first shot is Aaron scowling at mom due to the camera...ya know...not cool..then the nurse came in and he got to squirt Afrin (major snorts) up his nose twice. Then came the IV and finally a smile after the anethesiologist administered some happy juice (versed) Aaron became very silly shortly after that. We watched hime wheeled away...he remembers nothing from the point of the happy juice on till waking up with a mask of blowing humidity and oxygen. We got home around 1 or so. Aaron has had quite a bit of nausea...we are dealing with it. I will sleep in his room on the floor tonight. The bleeding comes and goes. That cute little gadget he is wearing holds a gauze pad and is called a mustache dressing...wish we would have invented that thing.

I will post an update tomorrow....a funny thing...no black eyes on the first break and still no black eyes today. Good night for now.
